Some Sad and Happy News!

Happy New Year crafting friends!!!

With the New Year, comes a new team at Crafty Gals Corner.
Sadly, we are saying goodbye to Carol from Scraps and Ink.
We will miss her beautiful projects and great inspiration,
and wish her all the best moving forward with her future endeavours.

The happy news, is that we have two great new team members.
Please welcome Ealr-Lea Riser and Judy Mckay.
We are so happy that these very talented ladies have joined our Crafty Gals Corner family.
Here is a little about each one, so you can get to know them better.

As one of the newest members (January 2020) of the Crafty Gals Corner Design Team, I am creating from a craft room in Canada!  With certainty, someone called 'Earl-Lea Riser',  finds the peace & quiet before most others 'come to life' a lovely, and creative time to learn more about colouring and card making! In the summer of 2018 I met a Stampin' Up Rep who inspired (and also WARNED) me about the fun and expense of getting into Copics! Since then the many blogs and challenges have served to 'fan the flame!'  I look forward to 'endless possibilities' in this supportive community!

Hello, my name is Judy.  I retired several years ago and live with my husband, Glen in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. We live in the mountains overlooking Okanagan Lake and you can find me almost any day hiking with my dog in the hills around our home.   We have 3 adult boys and 4 grandsons. I have been crafting for more than 15 years and love all paper crafts including mixed media, altered art, journaling and cards. I also dabble in paper making, photography, fibre art, and altered books. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

The rest of the DT remains the same.
Here we are :-)

Samantha - DT Owner
Hi! My name is Samantha, and I am the owner of the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge blog.  I started this blog 5 years ago, after being on several DT's I thought it might be fun to run my own.  Since creating this blog, I now have 2 beautiful babies and have started a full time clothing business.  My husband is a USMC veteran who currently works in construction.  Although I have to take a step back from running the blog on my own, my mom now does a lot of the day-to-day tasks, I still like to check in and see all the beautiful projects created!

I love retirement life as there is more time to create.   I have quite a few different crafts from quilting, crochet, x stitching and some paintings. My heart is in paper crafting and creating cards. I love to bring the images to life.  I love working with copics, paints, pencils and zig markers.  I am excited to be on Crafty Gals Corner design team.

"My adventure with paper crafting was literally dumped on my living room floor.  My daughter and daughter-in-law brought to mom 4 big totes filled with stamping up and close to my heart items.  This started my paper crafting addiction.  Hello, i'm Jana Forrest.  I live in a little town in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.  I'm married to 'The Bob' and have one grown daughter + daughter-in-law.  Retired from the IT business.  I love just about any sort of crafting, gardening, cooking and I really love to wash windows.  Nice to meet you!"

Jeanie
"I am the wife of a wonderful man, Charles, of going on 44 years. I am also a mother of 2 (Amy and Keith) and a grandmother of 3 (Caleb, Isaac, and Moriah), one of which just graduated High School last night. I’m very proud of him! My husband is retired Army and recently from American Railcar Industries. I am currently serving as treasurer for our church.

I have always loved to craft in some way, mostly with colored pencils and sewing, but with the busyness of life, I got away from that. That is, until 1997, when I got into scrapbooking and found a new form of art and memories. I was a consultant with a scrapbooking company, but about 2 years ago, I saw another form of paper skills from YouTubers….mini albums! I decided to try my hand at that, and I was hooked! Papercrafting became my new passion."

"I have been a scrapbooker since 1998 when my oldest daughter was born. Ever since then I have expanded what crafts I do which now includes scrapbooking, cardmaking, mixed media, jewelry making home decor projects and sewing (ok sewing is relatively new so I am still working on improving that one). I was always a hobbyist , but this past December I decided to really do these things full time, which is when I started my blog in earnest and started applying for design teams. I am having truly the most fun I have ever had."

Monday through Friday you'll find me working full time as Director of Finance for a large Optometry practice but on the weekend you'll find me in my craft room where I do a little bit  of scrapbooking, a little bit of jewelry making and a whole lot of card making! My style is mainly Classic & Elegant and I like to do a little bit of Cute & Fun. I started my blog, Created Just 4 U, about 2 years ago and love to visit other crafter's blogs for inspiration. Currently I serve on the Design Teams of 5 challenge blogs and 3 online retailers."

Lena - DT Coordinator
"I was born in Lisbon, Portugal but raised in Durban, South Africa. We have now called Pearland, Texas, home for the last 21 years. I'm a stay at home mom who has been married to a wonderful man for 34 years, and I have two great children, a daughter who is 29 and a son who is 23, and two grandbabies, Emma who's 5 and my little guy, Derek who is 2 years old. Although I have always enjoyed scrapbooking, it wasn't until a few of years ago that I fell in love with paper crafting. Recently I've added stitching on cards to my card making adventures.  My other hobbies are reading, baking, and spending time with the family. We all enjoy travelling and exploring new places."

Rae Ann
"I am an army wife, mom of four (mostly) grown kids, and currently living in Pensacola, FL in the US. I have been stamping for almost 15 years now, but I have been a crafter forever!  I remember making Christmas gifts for my family at a young age and being so excited about doing it all by myself.  Discovering digital stamps and the online crafting world has been an amazing journey!  I am so excited to be a part of this team and creating projects to inspire you!"

Tracy
"Hi There!  My name is Tracy and I live in Victoria, Australia.  Yes, I live Down Under in The Lucky Country and I am so lucky to be married to the most wonderful man in the world, who also happens to be a pretty awesome crafting enabler too.  I have been creative for as long as I can remember and have tried many different crafts, from the traditional cooking & dressmaking while growing up to pottery, macramé and much, much more over the years.  My current addiction is cardmaking, with a little scrapbooking and some off-the-page projects on the side.  I started cardmaking a few years ago.  What started as a distraction from the aches and pains associated with being struck down suddenly with chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis has become an essential part of my life.  I love to create and learning new techniques and I look forward to sharing my creative adventures with you."

  4. Did you know there's a 12 word sentence you can communicate to your crush... that will trigger intense emotions of love and impulsive attractiveness for you deep inside his chest?

Because deep inside these 12 words is a "secret signal" that fuels a man's instinct to love, admire and guard you with his entire heart...

12 Words Who Fuel A Man's Love Response

This instinct is so built-in to a man's genetics that it will make him try harder than ever before to do his best at looking after your relationship.

Matter-of-fact, fueling this powerful instinct is so important to achieving the best ever relationship with your man that the instance you send your man a "Secret Signal"...

...You will soon find him open his heart and soul to you in a way he's never expressed before and he'll recognize you as the one and only woman in the universe who has ever truly appealed to him.
